Overview

2023 marked a pivotal year for MoDriv as we rolled out devices, connected a multitude of vehicles, and saw the successful launch of the $MDR token. Looking ahead to 2024, MoDriv is gearing up for an even more transformative year with the introduction of innovative features and applications to enhance the driver experience.

In Q1 of 2024, MoDriv will become more user-friendly, allowing drivers to set sophisticated permissions and share their vehicles with other users. The MoDriv Mobile app will feature an integrated wallet and display enhanced car data, both in quantity and quality. These improvements are expected to significantly elevate the MoDriv experience and lower the entry barrier for those less familiar with cryptocurrency.

Q2 will see MoDriv broaden its appeal to diverse user groups. New interfaces and account types will cater to the needs of fleets managing numerous vehicles and drivers. Additionally, a system for Patrons (who finance the devices and earn $MDR ) to send pre-set devices to Hosts (who mine tokens for the Patrons) will be implemented. We're also planning to launch a new, cost-effective MoDriv device, targeting a broader audience.

The introduction of verifiable credentials is also on the agenda. This feature will allow any entity to make and verify claims about another entity, like a bank confirming a vehicle's clean title using cryptographic proof.

Come Q3, the MoDriv ecosystem will expand significantly. Decentralized data storage will be implemented, more data will be recorded on-chain (such as trip information), and the release of SDKs will fast-track the development of new apps built on MoDriv. This phase is expected to rapidly widen use cases and enhance protocol resilience.

The final quarter of 2024 and beyond is set to witness the continued maturation of the protocol. We anticipate greater decentralization, expanded support for various vehicle types (including scooters, aircraft, and heavy machinery), more clients and apps, and formal partnerships with automobile manufacturers. Like other successful protocols, MoDriv will begin to solidify its core offerings while driving extensive development in the ecosystem of applications and use cases built atop it.
