# Token Distribution

$MDR is a BEP-20 token on Binance Smart Blockchains, with a total supply of 400,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 tokens. 

The allocation of the 100,000,000,000 $MDR supply aligns with industry standards for protocol rewards, the treasury, the founding team, and initial capital partners. However, a community-centric focus is paramount for MoDriv, which is why a significant 70% of the tokens are dedicated to users and the treasury.

**The DAO Treasury** A substantial 70,000,000,000 $MDR is initially designated for the community-controlled DAO treasury. Contributors to the network, including teams and individuals, may receive $MDR (or other cryptocurrencies accumulated by the treasury) as bounties or grants. The primary way most users will acquire tokens is through driver rewards.

**Driver Rewards** Of the total treasury allocation, 45,000,000,000 $MDR is set aside specifically to reward drivers via Baseline Issuance. Following the initial airdrop, which represented a significant distribution from this pool, approximately 38,491,185,000 $MDR remains. This amount will be issued over 40 years, starting with a weekly distribution of 110,500,000 $MDR in the first year, and decreasing by 15% annually. 7,000,000,000 $MDR will be used for airdrop.

**MoDriv Core Team & Capital Partners** The remaining 30,000,000,000 $MDR is allocated to the core team (approximately 22,400,000,000) and investment partners (approximately 7,600,000,000). These allocations are locked for a minimum of two years from the mainnet launch date, with tokens unlocking monthly over a three-year period. Team members might have additional vesting conditions beyond the lock-up period. Any tokens held by MoDriv’s managing company may be utilized for network activities (like paying 10 $MDR for device minting) or as incentives for non-team contributors (such as rewards for community engagement or promotional activities).

This token distribution strategy is designed to ensure that MoDriv’s growth is primarily user and community-driven, with a focus on long-term sustainability and network contribution.
